The variety belongs to the pointed cabbage group and is a landrace selection from the Filder region. The plant forms conical heads, the size of which can reach 50 cm, and the weight often exceeds 8 kg. The grey-green leaves are distinguished by thin and tender blades.
The cabbage requires fertile, heavy and moist soils, rich in calcium, and is adapted to the conditions of the loess soils of its region of origin. In addition to processing and traditional pickling, the variety is suitable for fresh consumption due to its mild, sweetish taste.
