Tacoma F1 is a mid-season hybrid with a vegetation period of 70 to 90 days after transplanting. The plant has an upright, medium-sized rosette and a well-developed root system. The shape of the heads ranges from round to flat-round, their color is from gray-green to dark gray-green, with a waxy bloom of medium to high intensity.
The weight of the head averages 1.5–4.0 kg. The hybrid is characterized by resistance to Fusarium wilt and cracking, and also shows tolerance to thrips damage. The plant is adapted to adverse weather conditions, including heat and drought, and is capable of remaining in the field for 2–6 weeks after maturation.
The produce is dense and suitable for long-distance transportation. The hybrid is considered universal: it is intended for fresh market sale and processing, including pickling. Cultivation is possible both in open field and under temporary film covers or in greenhouses.
