The variety Innovatsiia is the result of complex interspecific hybridization of winter turnip rape and winter oilseed rape. Breeding work to create this form was conducted under the leadership of D. B. Rakhmetov.
The plant is characterized by a specific biochemical composition, in particular an increased content of ascorbic acid and carotenoids. In scientific literature, the variety is considered as part of collections of energy and aromatic plants for the evaluation of its antioxidant activity.
