The variety has small root crops of an elongated cone shape, about 5 cm long and 2 to 4 cm thick. The surface is yellowish-white or grayish with characteristic grooves; the flesh is white or yellowish in color. The plant is adapted to poor sandy soils.
It is grown primarily as a second crop: sowing is carried out in late August, and the harvesting of root crops takes place in October-November. Quality indicators include a high percentage of dry matter (15–20%), a sucrose content of 4–5 g/100 g, and the presence of glucosinolates.
It is used as a regional delicacy crop in cooking, including in stewed or raw form, as well as in soups and as a side dish.
