The roots have a slender conical shape, about 5 cm long and 1.5–3 cm in diameter. The surface is gray or brownish in color with characteristic raised transverse stripes. The flesh is yellowish and possesses a piquant or sweet-spicy taste.
The variety is mid-season: technical maturity is reached approximately 8 weeks after sowing. The crop is grown by sowing in the soil in two periods: in spring from April to May or in summer from mid-July to the end of August. The plant is characterized by frost resistance and grows well in sunny areas with sandy soil.
