Variety description

The shrub has a dense, highly branched crown capable of withstanding snow loads. The growth rate is medium, ranging from 5 to 10 cm per year. At the age of 15, the plant reaches a height and width of about 90–91 cm; by 25 years, it grows to 1.35 m.
The leaves are dark green, obovate, with a waxy bloom, and retain their color during the winter period. The variety possesses good resistance to box tree moth and partial resistance to boxwood gall midge, and is also not prone to deer browsing.
The plant belongs to USDA hardiness zones 5b–8. It prefers well-drained soils with a pH of 6.8 to 7.7 and tolerates both full sun and partial shade. The spring-season flowers are inconspicuous.
