Variety description

The variety is a mutation of Buxus microphylla «Faulkner». The plant is characterized by a slow growth rate, reaching a height of 60–90 cm and a width of 90–120 cm at maturity. The crown is dense and bushy; shoot lodging is not characteristic.
The leaves are small, glossy, with a golden-yellow color that changes to green as the leaf matures, while retaining a yellow margin. In spring, the plant blooms with inconspicuous yellow-green flowers.
The variety possesses increased winter hardiness, withstanding temperatures down to -20...-23°C (USDA zone 5/6a), is heat-tolerant and moderately drought-tolerant. The shrub is little susceptible to diseases and pests, and is practically not damaged by animals.
The plant tolerates pruning well and is used for creating topiary forms, low hedges, borders, as well as for container and accent landscaping.
