Variety description

The plant has an upright, compact growth habit, reaching a height of 1.4–1.6 m and a width of 0.8–0.9 m at ten years of age. The foliage is evergreen, dark green, glossy, medium-sized with a serrated margin.
Flowering occurs from March to May. The flowers are double, imbricated, deep red, 9 by 3.5 cm in size. The rounded buds have a burgundy-red hue. As the flowers fade, the petals fall off.
The variety has frost resistance down to -12°C…-14°C. The plant is intended for gardening, suitable for planting in open field, container or tub cultivation, and can also be used for placement along walls or on trellises.
