The Chico Lila variety is a representative of the Chico series, bred in the Netherlands. It was selected from progeny obtained as a result of open pollination of unnamed seedlings of the species Campanula glomerata.

The plant is intended for decorative gardening. The main external characteristic of the variety is the lilac or mauve color of the flowers.
