The plant is a vegetatively propagated perennial with an upright, bushy habit. Leaves are simple, petiolate, green, ovate in shape with an acute tip and serrated margin. Flowers are gathered in inflorescences and directed upward; the corolla is campanulate and purple.

The average height of plants in pots is about 14.75 cm. Flowering is described as almost continuous, occurring in mid-season. The plant is suitable for use as an ornamental, including as a ground cover or for cultivation in containers.
