The plant forms a spreading clump with small light-green heart-shaped leaves, growing to a width of 25–30 cm. Flowering begins in late spring or early summer; pruning withered inflorescences can lead to a second flush of flowers in autumn.
The variety features high frost resistance down to -25 °C and does not require special care. It is used as a groundcover plant, suitable for borders, alpine gardens, rock gardens, as well as for cultivation in containers and hanging baskets.
