The plant forms dense mats of creeping stems 10 to 25 cm high and 20–60 cm long. The leaves have a petiolate structure, a cordate base, and a coarsely serrated margin.
The bell-shaped flowers with five petals are gathered in loose inflorescences and are light violet-blue (lavender-blue) in color. The natural flowering period occurs from May to July.
The variety is intended for ornamental gardening and is used for decorating alpine gardens, rock gardens, and creating ground cover compositions.
