The plant has a compact, often trailing habit, reaching a height of 10–20 cm and a width of 20–30 cm. Leaves are round, medium-green; depending on growing conditions, the species may be evergreen.

Flowers are cup-shaped, double varieties are often found, the color of which varies from blue to white. The plant is intended for cultivation in pots, hanging baskets, on balconies and terraces, as well as in group plantings.

The bellflower prefers bright places without direct sunlight and requires loose, nutritious, well-drained soil. It is necessary to observe a moderate watering regime and protect the root system from water stagnation.
