The plant forms a dense mat of creeping stems 15–20 cm in height. The leaves are small, heart-shaped with serrated margins, and have a dark green or bright green color.
The flowers are approximately 4 cm in diameter, have a violet-blue hue with a white center, and are star-shaped. The variety is characterized by rapid growth, frost resistance in zones 3–9, and abundant flowering from May to October.
Used as a groundcover plant; suitable for retaining walls, rock gardens, containers, and hanging baskets. Grows well in both sun and partial shade.
