The variety is a deciduous vine that climbs supports using aerial roots. The plant has odd-pinnate leaves of dark green color.
The flowers have the shape of a wide bell, are colored orange-red with a darker shade in the throat, and are gathered into inflorescences of 10–25 pieces. The variety exhibits winter hardiness and prefers sunny locations with fertile soil.
