The Fibriko variety is the result of a three-way cross in which the parental forms Kinai dioecious and Kinai monoecious were crossed to obtain monoecious female progeny, subsequently crossed with the pollinator variety Kompolti Sárgaszárú. Despite its origin, the variety has a green stem, as this trait is dominant.
The plant belongs to industrial varieties with a predominance of female individuals. The primary purpose of the crop is fiber production, the quality of which is assessed as high.
