The variety belongs to the Italian roaster type, with a growing period of about 70 days. The fruits reach 20 cm in length and 5 cm in diameter, and possess thick flesh and a sweet taste. They are intended for culinary processing, in particular roasting, and for fresh consumption.

The plant possesses high resistance to bacterial spot (races 1–3) and intermediate resistance to tomato spotted wilt virus. The variety is an improved version of the Canario pepper with earlier harvest times.
