The variety is officially recognized in Hungary and is used as raw material for producing high-quality sweet or hot paprika in the vicinity of the city of Szeged. The plant has a pendant fruit position on the bush and belongs to the indeterminategrowth type.
The variety was obtained as a result of many years of breeding in the Szeged region to achieve the specific color and aroma characteristics necessary for the production of traditional ground paprika.
