The Russian hot pepper variety Joker is mid-season, reaching technical maturity in 110–120 days. The plant is semi-spreading, 75–80 cm tall. The variety is characterized by drought tolerance and the ability to set fruit under temperature fluctuations. Yield is 3.5–5.0 kg/m²; staking is required.
The trunk-shaped fruits have a weight of 50–70 g, a wall thickness of about 3 mm, and a heavily wrinkled surface. In biological maturity, the fruits are red, possess a hot taste, and are used fresh or dried, as well as for canning and preparing sauces. Decorative forms of the variety are represented by compact plants 20–50 cm tall, intended for pot cultivation.
