The variety is a local population that has been historically maintained and selected by gardeners in Bulgaria. In the past, breeding work was carried out to isolate and standardize this line, also known as Kozi Roga 59.
The fruits are characterized by a pungent taste at technical maturity. The genotype of this pepper has been used in scientific research aimed at evaluating resistance to Verticillium wilt (Verticillium dahliae Kleb.).
