The Pilot F1 hybrid is an early-maturing plant for open field and protected cultivation with a plant height of up to 120 cm. Its fruits are cone-shaped and weigh 100–150 g; in technical maturity they are light green, in biological maturity they are bright red. The hybrid possesses resistance to tobacco mosaic virus and potato virus Y.
The Pilot variety of Turkish selection belongs to early-maturing types of Hungarian pepper. Its cone-shaped fruits are yellow in technical maturity and turn red upon full ripening. The mass of one fruit varies from 160 to 200 g.
