The variety was obtained by the directed mutagenesis method: dry seeds of the original Kurtovska kapia variety were subjected to gamma-ray irradiation at a dose of 80 Gy. Externally, the variety differs from the parental form by the absence of anthocyanin coloration in young fruits and anthers.
The plant possesses resistance to powdery mildew caused by Leveillula solanacearum. Complex resistance to bacterial spot caused by the pathogens Xanthomonas euvesicatoria and Xanthomonas vesicatoria was also identified.
