The plant is productive, reaching a height of about 50 cm, which allows it to be grown in containers. The fruits have a conical, elongated shape and change color from green to bright red upon ripening. Their length varies from 5 to 20 cm.
The variety is very early, with ripening occurring in approximately 60 days. The plant is characterized as hardy and well-adapted to the cool and humid climate of the Bresse region. It prefers well-drained soils and full sun.
The pepper has a mild pungency, corresponding to the 1500–2500 SHU range, and is distinguished by a sweetish, fruity flavor. Historically, it was used in dried form for preparing seasonings for meat dishes, sauces, and local cheeses.
