The plant is medium-vigorous, of medium height, with short internodes. The variety is suitable for cultivation both in open field and in polyethylene greenhouses, and is characterized by high productivity.
The fruits are pendent, bilaterally flattened, 10–12 cm long. At technical maturity, the color varies from light green to pale yellow; at botanical maturity, it is red. The flesh is firm, juicy, of medium thickness, and has a sweet-piquant taste.
The variety has a wide range of uses, including fresh consumption and canning. In some sources, it is mentioned under the name «Pikantina Pestisori».
