The plant forms dense tufts that create a fountain effect. The leaves are stiff, linear, and colored dark green with a characteristic light border along the edges. Between May and July, small brownish-yellow spikelet inflorescences appear on thin peduncles.
The variety is hardy and prefers partial shade or shaded areas with well-drained, moderately moist soils. Winter hardiness reaches -25 °C. The plant is sensitive to waterlogging, and when grown in a sunny location, it requires regular watering to prevent leaf desiccation.
Used as an ornamental crop in landscape design for creating borders, decorating shady gardens, and planting in containers. It grows slowly, spreading through short underground shoots.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
