Variety description

The variety is intended for oil production and harvesting of flower petals containing natural pigments and antioxidant compounds. The content of the yellow pigment carthamin in petals is higher during early harvesting at the flowering stage of main shoots, whereas the red pigment is synthesized at later stages.

The plant is characterized by the absence or a very small number of spines on the bracts. During scientific experiments, the variety showed the ability to overwinter.
