The carvone content in the essential oil of the Sylvia variety ranges from 59% to 77%, and the limonene content varies between 26–41%. These figures were obtained during field trials in Norway.

The variety is intended for use as spice-aromatic and medicinal raw material. Information on morphological traits, such as plant height, maturity group, or disease resistance, is not available in open publications.
