The variety is a compact dwarf shrub 1.2–1.5 meters tall. The leaves are glossy, bright green in summer, and turn a burgundy shade in autumn. Flowering occurs in early or mid-summer on current-year shoots, accompanied by the appearance of fragrant creamy-white spherical inflorescences.
After flowering, decorative red spherical fruits form on the plant, persisting until winter. The variety possesses high frost resistance (USDA zones 4–10) and adapts well to moist soils, including areas with excessive moisture. It attracts pollinators and is used in ornamental landscaping and for container cultivation.
