The variety is intended for industrial cultivation as a fruit crop. The fruits are rich in organic acids, vitamin C, and phenolic compounds, therefore they are used for processing into juices, candied fruits, jams, and marmalade, as they are not suitable for fresh consumption due to their high acidity.

An important characteristic of the plant is the absence of thorns, which simplifies maintenance and harvesting. The fruits are smooth and uniform, their average weight is 40–70 g. The variety has the property of partial self-fertility, which distinguishes it from most Chaenomeles japonica seedlings, which are self-sterile.
