The plant has a narrow-conical or narrow-pyramidal habit. A distinctive morphological feature is the presence of needle-like juvenile foliage. The variety served as the basis for the development of the form Spitsbergen, which arose as a mutation.

Due to its compact size, the variety is used in ornamental gardening, including cultivation in containers, pots, and the landscaping of small gardens. In official registers, the variety is known under the synonym Excellent Point.
