The variety is a sport originating from a specimen of Chamaecyparis thyoides «Top Point». The plant has a dense crown, reaching 40–60 cm in height at 10 years of age, and up to 1–1.5 m in maturity. The needles are of the juvenile type, short and thin.
The plant is winter-hardy (USDA zones 4–8), prefers sunny or semi-shaded locations and moist, acidic, well-drained soils; it does not tolerate waterlogging. The variety is susceptible to snow breakage, so it is recommended to tie the crown for the winter in regions with heavy precipitation.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
