Plants of the Delano series are characterized by a strong, spreading habit and belong to the group with an 8.5-week response period from the start of short days to flowering. The decorative-type inflorescences reach 12–13 cm in diameter.
When growing for maximum flower size, pinching and the method of disbudding are used. The series possesses a pronounced tolerance to the effects of high temperatures, which prevents delayed flowering.
