Ophely belongs to the curly endive group. The plant is characterized as compact and heavy, while the inner part of the rosette is distinguished by high quality and uniformity.

The variety possesses endurance and the ability to continue vegetation in various weather conditions, and also exhibits resistance to premature bolting. Adapted for cultivation in both open field and under film covers. According to technical testing protocols, the plant has a medium size.
