Variety description

The variety forms a leaf rosette and a thickened root, from which etiolated heads about 15 cm in size are obtained in total darkness after a dormancy period. The produce is white with yellowish tips, with a dense and closed structure.

The plant is classified as mid-season; the harvest of heads is ready for collection from October to April, provided that covering soil is used for forcing. The variety shows relative resistance to bolting and frost hardiness.

Culinary use of the product: fresh in salads, as well as stewed or baked. The plant is grown as a biennial crop, where the root is formed in the first year, and the forcing of heads is carried out in the second.
