The Nettuno variety forms compact, dense, cylindrical or teardrop-shaped heads. The leaves are green, while the inner part of the head is yellowish-white.

The plant possesses high uniformity and good vigor, and is well adapted to autumn conditions. Cool temperatures are favorable for the variety to develop its specific coloration and to improve flavor. The variety tolerates light frosts and is suitable for cold storage.
