Variety description

The variety Frosted Magic (LOWCIR) is a perennial herbaceous plant up to 120 cm tall. It forms a basal cluster of dark green prickly leaves and erect flower stalks with white spherical inflorescences, which is a distinctive feature of this form.
The plant blooms from early summer to autumn; with regular removal of faded inflorescences, repeat blooming is possible. The variety is hardy, prefers sunny locations with moist, well-drained soils, and has good winter hardiness.
The plant is used in ornamental gardening for prairie-style plantings, as a companion for other Cirsium varieties, and also as a cut flower crop.
