The hybrid was developed as a result of hybridization using individual and mass selection methods. The maternal form was the monoecious line Sich, characterized by early setting of the first female flower, and the paternal form was the line Skarbnytsia, which possesses disease resistance.

Borys F1 belongs to early-maturing hybrids. It demonstrates high productivity and increased fruit quality indicators compared to analogues. The hybrid possesses high disease resistance, corresponding to ratings of 7–9 points. It is recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones.
