The variety is late-maturing: when grown under cover, ripening occurs in mid-July, in open field — in August. The fruits have a round shape, a weight from 8 to 14 kg and a characteristic coloration in the form of a light background with dark stripes. The flesh is pink in color, the taste is characterized as delicate and sweet, seeds are large, cream-white in color.

The plant is productive, but the fruits are characterized by a certain heterogeneity, typical for non-hybrid varieties. In the past, the variety was valued for its high transportability. The plant prefers fertile, well-drained soils with a pH level from 5.5 to 6.5, historically intended for local consumption.
