The Marineer F1 hybrid is mid-early, with a ripening period of 63–68 days. The plant has a vigorous leaf apparatus that protects the fruits from exposure to sunlight. The variety is intended for open field cultivation.
Fruits are round, weighing from 9 to 14 kg, with a dense rind up to 2 cm thick, which ensures suitability for transportation. The flesh is dark red, firm, with small black seeds and a sugar content (Brix) of up to 13.2%.
The variety possesses genetic resistance to Fusarium wilt (races 0, 1) and anthracnose (race 1).
