ActiveCitrus clementina hort. ex Tanaka · Clementine
INRA MAROC / ALFONSO BALDRICH
10 August 2026
The variety is early-maturing and is known by the synonyms Carte Noir, Caffin, and Clementine 2000. The plant has low vigor and forms very dense foliage. Due to heavy fruiting, fruit thinning is often required to achieve medium-sized fruit.
The fruits are distinguished by their juiciness, sweet taste with a balance of sugar and acid, and are typically seedless. The variety is intended for fresh consumption and juice processing. To maintain the seedless nature of the fruit in regions with cross-pollination, the use of protective nets may be required.
