Variety description

The variety is the result of a random mutation of a Clemenules tree. The fruit ripening period occurs 2–3 weeks earlier than that of the parent variety. Characteristic gall-like growths may be observed on tree trunks.

The fruits have a flattened shape, a weight of 70 to 120 g, a height of 40–50 mm, and a diameter of 55–65 mm. The skin is red-orange, thin, about 2 mm, and easily separates from the flesh. The sugar content is 10–13%, and acidity varies between 0.8–1.1%.

The variety is used in commercial horticulture as a table variety. An individual fruit response to post-harvest treatment with auxins, used to prevent abscission and wilting of the calyx, is noted.
