The variety was obtained as a result of bud irradiation of the Murcott variety. The trees possess high vigor with an upright crown; shoots have a small number of thorns or are entirely thornless. The plant is self-compatible.
Fruits have a reddish-orange thin peel that separates easily from the pulp. The variety is distinguished by high juice content, sweet taste, and low seed count. The harvest period occurs late: from February to April.
The variety shows sensitivity to Alternaria, is prone to fruit cracking, and is characterized by biennial bearing.
