The variety is a spontaneous bud mutation of the common clementine, discovered in 1994 in the Italian province of Cosenza. The fruits ripen significantly later than the parent variety, which allows harvesting to be carried out in January and February.
The plant differs from other varieties by lower sensitivity to branch bark rot and the absence of pronounced alternate bearing. The fruits are characterized by a large size, exceeding the size of the Hernandina variety, and high organoleptic properties.
The right is granted for a limited term: propagation of the variety requires a license from the rights holder.
