The plant forms dense clumps 90 to 180 cm tall. The leaves have a ribbed and corrugated surface. A bright pink spot in the center of the leaf radiates out along the veins, with the pattern visible on both the front and back of the leaf. As the plant matures, the coloration can cover up to one-third of the leaf blade surface.
The variety is intended exclusively for decorative purposes. The plant withstands USDA hardiness zones 7b–10b. In regions with cold climates, container cultivation with overwintering indoors is recommended.
