The plant forms dense clumps with upright arrow-shaped leaves. As it matures, the edges of the leaf blades curl inward, enhancing the expressiveness of the relief pattern. The leaf petioles have a dark, almost black coloration.
An adult plant reaches a height of 1 to 1.6 meters. The variety is intended for ornamental use in landscape design or container cultivation. The plant is winter hardy down to USDA zone 7 and requires moisture level control to prevent rot.
