Variety description

The variety is an evergreen dense shrub with a compact, low-growing habit. At maturity, the plant reaches a height and width of about 90–100 cm, in some cases up to 150 cm. It is used for solitary plantings, container gardening, and creating low hedges.

The main ornamental feature is the glossy leaves with a mirror sheen, colored in shades ranging from green to dark brown and raspberry red. In spring, the plant blooms with inconspicuous pale green flowers.

The plant is resistant to sea winds and relatively drought-tolerant once established. Frost resistance is limited, withstanding temperatures down to –5...–6 °C. The variety is recommended to be pruned regularly in early spring to maintain its shape.
