The plant reaches a height of 25–45 cm and forms dense emerald-green clumps. Inflorescences with a diameter of 2.5–3.8 cm have a daisy-like shape with a yellow disc in the center. The variety is sterile and does not produce viable seeds; propagation is possible only by division of the bush.
For normal development, the variety requires full sun exposure and constantly moist, well-drained soils, being less drought-tolerant than other Coreopsis species. With an excess of fertilizer or moisture, the stems may lodge. The plant is used in borders, containers, and for cut flowers, and attracts pollinators.
