The plant forms upright clumps with narrow sword-shaped emerald-green leaves. The graceful arching inflorescences consist of tubular flowers colored in a blend of orange and yellow with a reddish tint at the petal edges; the buds have a scarlet color.
The variety is intended for landscape design, including border and mass plantings, and is also suitable for cut flowers. It is considered conditionally winter-hardy; in regions with cold climates, it requires mulching or lifting of bulbs for the winter.
The plant is relatively low-maintenance and resistant to browsing by deer and rabbits. In case of excessive planting density, the flower stalks may lose stability; therefore, it is recommended to divide the clumps every 3–5 years.
