Fruits of the Ananas cultivar type most often have an oval or round-oval shape. The surface is covered with a pronounced lace netting, and the rind color varies from golden-yellow to greenish-beige. The tender flesh ranges in color from creamy-white to light orange and is distinguished by an intense aroma.
The group includes both mid-season variants and hybrids with other maturity timings. Resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew or Fusarium wilt, as well as keeping quality and transportability indicators, depend on the specific hybrid.
These melons are intended primarily for fresh consumption as dessert products; they are also suitable for processing into jams or candied fruits.
