The Assisto variety, also known as TI-151, is a specialized rootstock for melon. Its use during grafting allows for the preservation of the original taste, sugar content, and characteristic netting of the scion variety fruits.
The plant exhibits balanced development and high, uniform germination. The grafting technology using this rootstock is characterized by ease of application, and the sowing date of the rootstock can be shifted by approximately 2 days relative to the scion.
The rootstock possesses high resistance (HR) to Fusarium wilt of melon (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. melonis, races 0–2) and intermediate resistance (IR) to Melon necrotic spot virus.
